This essay focuses on Paul Auster’s novel, Invisible (2009), aiming to explore the text’s intricate metafictional dimensions, especially deployment of metalepsis as main organizing principle its narrative structure. The author argues that novel employs a subtle metaleptic structure, which moves beyond classical postmodernist phase textual experimentation, and serves means raising questions ethical existential relevance.
